Anyone carrying out work relating to the detection of explosive remnants of war (ERW) must hold at least the ‘Basic Knowledge of ERW’ competence level. Armaex offers such courses, including the examination. Armaex has suitable training rooms and a practical training ground of approximately 2 hectares, which has been specially equipped for this purpose.
In addition, we regularly provide bespoke safety training courses, which are usually delivered at the client’s premises. During a short safety training session of approximately 25 minutes, we cover safety, how to recognise explosive remnants of war, and how to respond if you come across them unexpectedly. Real training models are passed from hand to hand, making the training truly tangible and bringing it to life. Naturally, videos are an essential part of the session. If you arrange a venue with a projector or TV screen, we’ll take care of the rest. In recent months, we’ve had the opportunity to contribute to breakfast sessions, safety afternoons and even a night-time training marathon. All training sessions are delivered by instructors with years of practical experience in both the civilian sector and the OOO industry. This ensures the instructor is well-equipped to address the practical realities of the field.
In addition to safety training courses, we also regularly deliver presentations on the investigation process. These are specifically aimed at work planners and HSE staff. Increasingly, companies are securing major framework contracts that also include engineering. Many clients lack the knowledge of the steps that need to be taken during the preliminary phase. Armaex can help you, through a presentation, to gain this knowledge and organise your work planning.
